House in Vick Case on the Market Again

Vick HomeThe developer who bought the house at the center of Michael Vick’s dog-fighting-ring case just put it in on sale — at a 66% markup, reports Christina S.N. Lewis in today’s Journal. The suspended Atlanta Falcons quarterback quietly sold the house, in the rural Virgina county of Surry last week for $450,000.

Mr. Vick began running a dog-fighting ring there in 2001, according to court records. The 15-acre parcel includes a two-story, five-bedroom house and a professional basketball court.

Earlier this fall, Mr. Vick put an Atlanta-area house on the market for $4.5 million (pictured above and below). There’s been “extreme interest and a couple of offers,” for the eight-bedroom, eight-and-a-half bath home, says listing agent Tony Funari with Waters Realty Group in Gainseville, Georgia.

The house has lake views, a two-story study, workout room and other amenities. Mr. Funari says that about 50% of those who look at the house know of the former Falcons player’s connection to the home. (See the listing.) –Emily Friedlander
